Being an accredited institution means that Career Schools of Texas adheres to a series of strict guidelines that ensure the quality of our programs. As an accredited institution, Career Schools of Texas qualifies for Federal financial aid.

 

State Licensing Agency/Chief Administrator

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is the state agency authorized to license and regulate barbering.  The link to TDLR’s barbering and cosmetology page is https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/barbering-and-cosmetology/.

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is the state agency authorized to license and regulate career schools and colleges, including those offering HVAC-R Technician programs. The link to the TWC’s career schools & colleges program page ishttps://www.twc.texas.gov/programs/career-schools-colleges.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission, an applicant must be able to read and write in English, and the student must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 17 years of age or beyond the age of compulsory high school attendance.
  • Have an initial interview with an Admissions Representative
  • Provide a valid government-issued photo identification (driver’s license or state photo ID) and social security card.
  • Earned a valid high school diploma, GED certificate, or successful completion of homeschooling at the secondary level as defined by Texas state law or provides self-certification of the same on CST Enrollment Application and, if a Title IV applicant, on the FAFSA.
  • Completion of Enrollment Application, participation in an entrance interview, provision of accurate and current contact information for 5 references (e.g., 3 relatives; 2 friends).

Decisions concerning the admission or rejection of an application are subject to the discretion of the Career Schools of Texas Admissions Department.
